Sour RR

Sour RR is a neutralizing-sour product with exceptional rust-removing capabilities. The product is introduced into the washer during the final step of the wash formula to neutralize residual alkalinity left in the textiles or rinse water.

Applications

Use Sour RR in a range between 1–2 ounces per 50 pounds of wash subject to the raw water pH and iron concentrations. Carefully test linen residuals to maintain a pH on the finished linen between 5.5–6.5 depending on the classification and finishing procedures.

Due to its acidic nature, product overfeeding is not recommended (it could potentially damage the fiber).

Handling

Sour RR is an acid-based neutralizing agent commonly used for souring and rust-removing applications. Use caution when handling the product. The product can cause skin and eye irritation upon contact. If this occurs, rinse the area for 15 minutes with water or a solution of soda bicarbonate.
